Please see dates on the school website or on Parent Pay for educational visits, class assemblies and whole school events. Mrs Wazir, Mrs Patel, Mrs Rai and Miss Pindoria Spellings have been selected from the common exception words and you will also have a list of challenge words which are related to the topic taught for any particular term.

Please support your child to learn either the or black spellings each week and select 3 challenge words.

Some activities can be completed in a few minutes (for those extremely busy weekends) and some are much more open ended.

Throughout the year, homework will be focused on mathematical skills, English work, Topic based work and phonics skills.

Reading is also an integral part of learning in Foundation Stage and Year 1 and we expect that children will read 2 books to an adult at home each week for around 5 minutes each day.

Here you will be able to find useful information and links for homework, school projects and events and other exciting things that are happening in our year group this year. This topic will have a Science focus, however the children will still have aspects of Art, History and Geography, for example, taught to provide them with a rich and engaging curriculum.

This booklet contains Weeks 1-10 of homework sheets for this year level all linked to the Australian National Curriculum.

It provides flexibility so you can select whether students present homework each week or wait until the end of the school term.
