Over the last couple of decades the rate of marriages that end in divorce has been steadily increasing.

There are a significant amount of impacts that divorce has on children of any age.

Furthermore, the child will typically begin to act out in violent or negative behaviors in an effort to process the feelings of sadness, anger, and disappointment.

There are some very serious impacts on children when parents make the decision to get divorced.

Divorce is a confusing and challenging event for everyone involved.

When parents get divorced, the child starts to feel unsure about elements of his or her life that he or she had never questioned before.Any opinions, findings, conclusions or recommendations expressed in this material are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of UK Essays.Divorce or dissolution of marriage defines as the ending of a marriage before the death of either spouse.My recent research found that in many developed countries, divorce rates increased surprisingly during the twentieth century.Among the states in which divorce has become commonplace are the United States, Canada, South Korea, and members of the European Union, with the exception of Malta.Some of the most common impacts that divorce has on children include the fact that children tend to start to blame themselves for the divorce, there is a feeling of uncertainty in elements of life that were previously concrete, there are behavioral issues that arise, and there often becomes a challenge to balance the feeling of stability between the separate parents.These are just a few of the most common challenges that children face when presented with the reality of divorce in the family.Divorce is the effect of a marriage that is faced with difficulties that seem insurmountable, an inability to get along, one or both partner's growing apart, substance abuse, a culture that condones divorce, legal ease of getting a divorce, the inexpensiveness of getting a divorce and other factors. A couple stays married until times get hard or another person is found more attractive, or any number of other reasons.The bottom line is the lack of commitment in most cases.It can also be defined as an ending of a marriage by an official decision in a court of law.Nowadays, divorce no longer considered as a big deal compared to last generation especially in Western Europe.
